About us
The Self Manager Hub is a newly established not-for-profit organisation for people who self-manage or self-direct their NDIS plans. We are inclusive of all NDIS participants and families who have a desire to have more choice and control over their supports.
The purpose of the Self Manager Hub is to:
- Educate and raise awareness about self-direction and self-management and how to exercise choice and control over our supports so that we can uphold our human rights and live the lives we choose.
- Improve self-direction and self-management policies and practices to ensure that they enable people with disability to have maximum choice and control over our lives and uphold our human rights.
We do these things by developing and supporting peer networks who share knowledge and experiences of self-management and self-direction. We also develop resources and provide workshops.
About the role
We are seeking expressions of interest from people with a passion and interest in the human rights of people with disability to join our Board of Governance. We are especially interested in hearing from people with knowledge in the following areas:
- Employment and Human Resources
- Accounting and finances
- Entrepreneurship and business development
We encourage people with disability and families of diverse cultural backgrounds to apply including First Nations people.
The role is not paid. Any expenses you incur to participate will be reimbursed and support to participate is provided to members with disability.
